Friday Thoughts 143

Greetings! Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday Thoughts, where I share what’s been on my mind this week. Enjoy!

Thank You Jordan

I love this take. Basically, Jordan’s point is this: why would we “scare” any casual viewer of this content away from eating fruit? It’s blasphemous. We need to remember the people on these app are literally just making stuff so we’ll watch it.

Common sense, which I think of as trying to eat a lot of fruits and vegtables, shouldn’t be confusing people who are trying to eat healthy.

Seriously, shame on you Rhonda Patrick and Mel Robbins.

And, here is the study referenced. Only 19 people participated—by the way.

to reiterate one more time - THE BANANNA DOES NOT CANCEL OUT THE BLUEBERRIES.

Creatine’s Glow Up

Literally had to explain to my mom in 2005 that creatine isn’t going to give me roid rage. And now, someone asks me about it everyday.

Reasonableness

Dr. Dave Strength and Kindness is my new favorite Instagram follow. He doesn’t post trash like Dr. Rhonda Patrick. Instead, he talks about reasonableness, and sticking with it. It’s a great message, and very aligned with my values as a coach. Shoutout to Steph C for introducing me to him.

Direttissima (with kids!)

Shoutout to Whitney Pearson, and her 3 children, for completing the White Mountains Direttessima—a straight hike through all of New Hampshire’s 4000 foot peaks. It took 5 weeks to complete 230 miles with 80,000 feet of vertical gain. The route sounds impressive no doubt, but I’m mostly impressed with the kids.

That’s it for today. Thanks for reading and see you in the gym!
