Friday Thoughts 132
Greetings! Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday Thoughts, where I share what’s been on my mind. Let’s get into it.
Saturdays Are For Mobility
Join us tomorrow morning at 7:30am for Mobility Class with Ariel from Preventative Maintenance.
These sessions are designed to improve flexibility, stability, and usable range of motion.
In these 50-minute classes, you’ll move in a way that feels good.
PURCHASE A DROP IN TO MOBILITY CLASS
From The Push Press Members App:
“Memberships,” “Add New,” “Mobility Class Drop In,” then, reserve on schedule like any other session.
Training Ramblings
I’ve had another good week of training. I didn’t mean to workout 14 days in a row without a rest day, but I did. Nothing too crazy this week, well, other than Murph on Monday, which was taxing and left my upper body feeling sore for days. I’ve got my groove back though. I haven’t been running much and instead of only focusing on getting out on the trails-which I love but it is very time consuming-I’ve been trying to train in the gym in ways that I’ve been neglecting. Heavy lifting, hard and fast conditioning. It’s been fun and I’m enjoying it.
What’s a Squat
Squats are a simple but complicated move. Everyone in the world knows what it is, but not many people execute them well.
Everyone knows what a squat but most can’t tell a proper one from a sloppy one.
When I see videos like this, I wonder, how can a coach who doesn't even know what a squat is get a job as a strength coach for a school? A school that shelled out the money for customized weight plates no less.
There’s also videos on this page of legit strength training and great form - so I just don’t get it? Is it intentionally bad for the views? (re: Rory V’s video from a few weeks back)
Just wake up earlier
You know I love James Clear but I actually cannot tell if this is a sarcastic quote or not.
That being said, you know I love waking up early to do exactly that.
But this quote is silly.
See you in the gym.
